All exam locations will be safe for students, says Perak police chief



IPOH: All locations where students will be sitting for their examinations will be safe, says Perak police chief Datuk Comm Mior Faridalathrash Wahid.

He said that the police will patrol and monitor these locations regularly between Feb 22 and Apr 12 and urged all parents, guardians and examination candidates to not worry about their safety.

“Some 428 centres and schools in Perak will be used for the examinations.We will mobilise 100 patrol cars and 200 motorcycles in the districts accordingly,” he said in a press statement on Sunday (Feb 21).

Comm Mior added that school liaison officers, crime prevention patrol teams and other police elements will also be part of the monitoring team and said that 220 police personnel will be working day and night on these duties.

The Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM), Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) Sijil Vokasional Malaysia, Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia and Diploma Vokasional Malaysia exams will begin from Feb 22.
